Truth Has Nothing to Fear from Honest Investigation

Our Foundation
Making a Path Straight is a Bible teaching ministry devoted to recovering the earliest recoverable understanding of the Scriptures through careful biblical, historical, and textual investigation.
For nearly two thousand years, the Scriptures have been read through the lens of inherited traditions, theological systems, and cultural assumptions. Many have faithfully preserved important truths. Others deserve to be re-examined. Every generation bears the responsibility of testing what it has inherited against the testimony of Scripture itself.
This ministry exists for that purpose.
Our Method
“A voice cries out: ‘In the wilderness prepare the way for Yehovah; and in the desert a straight highway for our God.'” (Isaiah 40:3)
Rather than beginning with denominational conclusions or defending established traditions, every study begins with the biblical text, its historical setting, and the earliest available evidence.
Scripture remains the foundation, while history, archaeology, language, and the writings of the earliest Jewish and Christian communities help illuminate the world in which it was given. Throughout every investigation, great care is taken to distinguish between what the text plainly states, what the historical evidence reasonably supports, and where interpretation necessarily begins.
This standard applies not only to the traditions examined throughout this ministry, but also to the conclusions presented here.
No tradition is too ancient to be questioned. No doctrine is too established to be re-examined. No conclusion—including our own—is beyond further testing if better biblical or historical evidence comes to light.
What We Believe We’re Recovering
As a result, these studies often explore subjects that have shaped the course of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam for centuries.
Some conclusions reaffirm long-held beliefs. Others challenge ideas that have become deeply rooted through history. Novelty is never the objective. If a traditional interpretation proves faithful to Scripture and history, it should be preserved. If it does not, it should be examined with honesty, humility, and courage.
Ultimately, Making a Path Straight is about more than recovering forgotten doctrines. It is about recovering the earliest apostolic faith and the covenant community that first proclaimed it.
The earliest followers of Yeshua did not understand themselves to be founding a new religion or abandoning the faith of Israel. They understood themselves to be the continuation of God’s covenant people through Israel’s Messiah—a community in which Jew and Gentile stood together under one God, one Messiah, one covenant, one hope, and one coming Kingdom.
If the historical record points where the evidence suggests, then restoration involves more than correcting theology. It calls for recovering a covenant identity, a way of life, and a faithful community that reflects the character and purposes of God as they were entrusted to the apostles before centuries of religious division and theological development obscured their witness.
Who These Studies Are For
These studies are written for anyone willing to examine the evidence honestly.
They are especially intended for:
Christians seeking to understand the faith before centuries of theological division and denominational tradition.
Jewish readers interested in exploring the earliest Jewish followers of Yeshua apart from later Christian theology.
Muslim readers willing to examine the earliest apostolic faith before many of the doctrines that later came to define Christianity.
Skeptics and seekers who believe difficult questions deserve thoughtful, evidence-based answers rather than easy dismissals.
Whether these studies reinforce what you already believe or lead you to reconsider familiar conclusions, the invitation remains the same:
Open the Scriptures. Examine the evidence honestly. Follow the truth wherever it leads.
Our Vision
Making a Path Straight exists to remove every obstacle that stands between people and the truth of God’s Word—to recover the faith once entrusted to the apostles, to help restore a faithful covenant people, and to prepare the way for the coming Kingdom of God.
Making a Path Straight is not interested in preserving traditions or discarding them. It is interested in discovering whether they are true.

Core Convictions
Our guiding principles reflect our commitment to truth and faithfulness.
Monotheism
Yehovah is One — not three. We reject the doctrines of the Trinity and embrace the pure monotheism of the Tanakh.
The Anointed King
Yeshua is the Messiah, the chosen and exalted servant of Yehovah — not co-equal, but the anointed King, seated at the right hand.
Covenant Obedience
Torah remains binding, not for salvation by works, but as the holy instruction of our Father — a delight, not a burden.
Community
We foster a community committed to walking in obedience, embracing the ancient paths, and preparing for the coming Kingdom.
